Love note to Mommy
But here goes...
Dear Mommy,
You are the best mom ever.
You take care of children really well.
(She uses well instead of good! That makes me swell with pride. Doesn't she write well?)
You should be a babysitter too. instead of being just a mom!

Eva

No Idea about Cakes on Heads
This is an interesting one.
Let me try to explain:
The large face with black eyelashes, long blond hair and red candles on her head is a mermaid. You can see,
to the left of her mouth,
there are two arms with purple hands splayed out.
Spawning from the middle of said arms is a rainbow mermaid tail.
The tail circles around to the right, behind her.
It's not the red and black devilish looking thing vering upwards to the left.
Don't ask.
I have No idea.
Very beautiful.
The mermaid, I mean.
The mermaid with the birthday cake on her head.
Why does she have a birthday cake on her head?
Mermaid is saying in bubble one "fue" meaning "shew" like... "that was close."
Why?
Bubble two says, "Why is there a birthday cake on my head?"
No one knows.
"Why am I sharing this with you?" says me.
I have NO idea. I thought it was funny I guess. But now it seems just confusing.
Why did Eva draw such a picture?
I have NO idea.

Half a Dozen
"THE SUPER DUPER SPYRO GYRO DELUXE MODEL 285 PEN"
Not only does Eva find it necessary to write on paper but she sometimes goes "out of the box" so to speak and writes on her little sister too. Eva is master, as you can see she's got her super duper spyro pen hanging proudly on the red satin bow of her dress. Sunshine is now transformed into Wonder Dog.
Watch out or she'll whip that bad boy out and color you a mean picture!
OR she just may turn you into a Wonder Dog too!
SPRING? or I HATE MY DRESS? you decide...She brought this one home from school. I'm not sure if this dress is an actual dress from her closet?
Or if she colored it, decided at that moment she hated it, and then gave voice to her self portrait saying she hated the dress. But you can tell she's mad, arms up in the air, probably waving them around... look closely, she may even be flippin ya the bird!
And why does she deem it necessary to tell her Daddy?
What is she expecting him to do about the ugly pumpkin orange moo moo dress?
Is Daddy the fashion designer around here?
Regardless, the flowers are lovely and the Jack and the Bean Stalk vine adds nice composition.
SPRING INTO FALL
There are four seasons, one in each quandrant of the paper
but these two were the cutest.
That little girl is almost as cute as Eva.
Dontcha think?
I mean, the curly ponytails?
The glee of flying through the air?
Arms spread wide?
Don't you just want to say "Weeeeeeeee?"
And she just nailed the fall colors. Beautiful, my darling!
JOEY'S HAIR CUT
Joey's hair was hanging in his eyes. He defies my every word when it comes to me cutting his hair.
He loves his long hair and I don't want to make it shorter, really... I love his long hair as well. I'll be fast I promise... I tell him. He's in dyer need to get back to his alien making goo. (I know, it's important stuff!) and I just want to make it more stylish...
So it doesn't look like a bowl cut with a mullet attached...
You understand, right?
So- in the midst of my conversation with Joey about his hair, Eva draws this picture.
If you can't read it, it says, "Joey, it's just gonna be a quick little cut."
This is Joey's reaction captured perfectly on paper. Mouth open, arms in air,
ACCCKKK! NO! DON'T CUT MY HAIR!
And there is the infamous zipper I was talking about...
OH PRESENTS PLEASE? NOW? This past weekend we celebrated an early Christmas with my husbands side.
This is Aunt Doo Daa keeping the kids busy before opening presents...
while my husband was nursing his hangover... and that's another story for another blog.
If you notice...all the kids are intently watching and listening to Aunt Doo Daa, except for ours truly.
Eva B Peanut Pie is doing what?
You guessed it, Busily creating yet another masterpiece.
LETTER TO SANTA
I'm awful with the quality of these letters. I'll write it out for you:
Dear Santa,
All I mostly want is a little horse for Butterscotch. That way she can have a baby and I want ever buddy to be happy. MARRY CHRISTMAS.
And then, very large, she spells HAPPY,
-picture of smiling curly haired girl with spiral cheeks
-picture of Butterscotch and baby horse.
She doesn't ask for the latest greatest. She doesn't ask for paraphenelia of that girl....
um... what's her name?
the skitzofreniac (yes, this is a word and this is how you spell it.) that all the girls love today?
Oh yeah- Hannah Montana and/or Miley Cyrus. What's that all about anyway? Great idea! Let's teach our young impressionable fragile sweet girls to have two personalities! Two people in one! Genius! That's worse than an imaginary friend! Geez! Again I digress.
She doesn't ask for the High School Musical movie.
She doesn't ask for Bratz dolls, make up, nail polish, glittery sparklies for her hair, cheeks etc.
She doesn't ask for fancy clothes.
This is my girl!
She asks for the gift of a baby horse, for her beloved stuffed animal horse Butterscotch.
And finally?
She asks for world peace in her sweet loving seven year old way.
"I want every buddy to be happy."
Merry Christmas, everyone. Well, all four of you who read this.

A few Golden Nuggets
It is an endearing story about a dog and a horse that are friends. It's titled "The Dog and Horse." The parents of these loveable tikes get in a fight and the pair are forced to seperate and the friendship is diminished. However, being smart little doggy and quick witted horse, they are able to fix the problem and become BFF's once again. (BFF stands for Best Friends Forever)
Can I get a Woo Hoo here?
So don't cha know that it doesn't matter if you're a horse or a dog or a pig or a rat for that matter. (Am I speaking Chinese horoscopes? no I am not.) We can ALL be friends. The parental community needs to put their predjudices aside and welcome differences in the world, even befriend them. And then everyone is happy and the world is filled with buttercups and roses.
Can't we just all get along?
She's pretty smart for her age, isn't she?
A wise old soul, I believe.
This is the prologue written on the back of the book. It tells all about ours truly. And this is what is says: (love the bullet points)
Written by Eva Schneider
yes it was.
Illustrated by Eva Schneider
written AND colored- she's a double threat
likes horses and dogs
Now her two favorite animals hense the book title
this is the first book I've written
yes this is true
has lots of friends
she's the sweetest so of course she does
lives in a house
everyone needs to know this
has one sister and brother
yep
has one mom and dad
not always the norm these days, so better write it down
is seven years old right now
the future's so bright, isn't it?
favorite food pizza
Now, in my opinion, I think the answer here is tomatoes. When I tell her we're having pizza for dinner?
she wrinkles her nose at me. When I say "salad too, and I'll heat up some peas." Then we're good. I think pizza is just the "go to" answer for kids when asked about favorite foods. I think it's in the Crazy Kid Handbook. and that, my friend, she follows closely.
loves family
How could she not! I mean look at us!
likes friendship
family=love, friendship=like. She'll learn one day you can love both.
favorite time of year Christmas
I think because it's in like nine days and she's chompin at the bit to open those presents.
has ocean room
yes- her choice, I wanted pink and black and girly girl but whatever, it's her pad.
is an artist too
obviously
I have a horse named Butterscotch
Oh dear Butterscotch. That Gaa Blessed Butterscotch. That is a another story for a later date. It's not a real horse, stuffed animal that takes up half her bed.
I have a dog named Kasey
The dog is real, see blog Kasey Mable
And that's me.
That's my Sweet Eva B Peanut Pie!
So this is one of MANY family portraits. It happens to be her latest family pic. I don't know how she does it, but she captures amazing similarities.
Look at Joey (the one with the glasses) That looks like Joey, the hair, the expression on his face.
Here, from left to right it goes: Mommy, Daddy, Eva, Sophie and Joey.
I think it's very sweet that Eva is very close to Sophie in this picture.
No, Daddy is not always that fat.
And Yes- Mommy is always that skinny, right? go along with me here...
I'm not too sure what the "90" and the "less than boobs" (or is that a butt?)stuff is on Daddy's pants. I don't know if that's decoration? or what. I'll have to ask about that.
She goes through phases. One phase was that everyone had some very peculiar markings around the groin area. I should clarify, the boys had the markings. Everyone knows that girls always wear skirts.
"Um Eva?" I ask.
"Yes?" she replies, so proud of her work.
"What might that be? There, on the pants?" I point to said peculiar markings.
"Duh, Mom. They're zippers."
"Oh, of course!"
Get your mind out of the gutter, come on, she's seven, remember?

Kasey Mable
So I did my homework, searched on the internet to find a pathetic little four legged furball that needed saving.
I made her the happiest beamingest, ear to ear grinningest Peanut Pie in the whole world!
I was now the greatest Mom ever!
We picked out Kasey, the quiet little timid beagle who would be harder to potty train than my three year old, (come to find out).
This picture was taken hours after bringing Kasey home.

A few months pass and the novelty has worn off. The whole, "I'll take her out, and feed her and blah blah blah" schtick no longer holds water. I have to give her credit, she still takes care of the dog, but more so on her terms. The dog responsibities are now family responsibilities. Okay, fine. However, the dog still does her business in the house sometimes. That does not make for a happy mommy, especially when Mommy says, "Hey Eva, take Kasey Mable Pudding Pie outside, she needs to go." Eva throws her head back, rolls her eyes and groans and continues watching TV. As a multitasking mom, I turn to the other nine things I have going on...she'll handle it, right?
An hour later I come to find a large, I mean LARGE, wet spot on the carpet at the top of the stairs. The anger climbs up my spine until steam is coming out of my ears. Well, we had a little tiff to say the least, the pee was cleaned up, the dog was taken out, and Eva felt so so bad about the previous events that had taken place.
She disappeared for awhile and then walked in my room silently, handed me this and walked out with her head down...
Okay so you can't really read the writing due to my photographic ability or lack thereof. I'll work on that. So the note goes as follows:
Meet Eva
