It is an endearing story about a dog and a horse that are friends. It's titled "The Dog and Horse." The parents of these loveable tikes get in a fight and the pair are forced to seperate and the friendship is diminished. However, being smart little doggy and quick witted horse, they are able to fix the problem and become BFF's once again. (BFF stands for Best Friends Forever)
Can I get a Woo Hoo here?
So don't cha know that it doesn't matter if you're a horse or a dog or a pig or a rat for that matter. (Am I speaking Chinese horoscopes? no I am not.) We can ALL be friends. The parental community needs to put their predjudices aside and welcome differences in the world, even befriend them. And then everyone is happy and the world is filled with buttercups and roses.
Can't we just all get along?
She's pretty smart for her age, isn't she?
A wise old soul, I believe.
This is the prologue written on the back of the book. It tells all about ours truly. And this is what is says: (love the bullet points)
Written by Eva Schneider
yes it was.
Illustrated by Eva Schneider
written AND colored- she's a double threat
likes horses and dogs
Now her two favorite animals hense the book title
this is the first book I've written
yes this is true
has lots of friends
she's the sweetest so of course she does
lives in a house
everyone needs to know this
has one sister and brother
yep
has one mom and dad
not always the norm these days, so better write it down
is seven years old right now
the future's so bright, isn't it?
favorite food pizza
Now, in my opinion, I think the answer here is tomatoes. When I tell her we're having pizza for dinner?
she wrinkles her nose at me. When I say "salad too, and I'll heat up some peas." Then we're good. I think pizza is just the "go to" answer for kids when asked about favorite foods. I think it's in the Crazy Kid Handbook. and that, my friend, she follows closely.
loves family
How could she not! I mean look at us!
likes friendship
family=love, friendship=like. She'll learn one day you can love both.
favorite time of year Christmas
I think because it's in like nine days and she's chompin at the bit to open those presents.
has ocean room
yes- her choice, I wanted pink and black and girly girl but whatever, it's her pad.
is an artist too
obviously
I have a horse named Butterscotch
Oh dear Butterscotch. That Gaa Blessed Butterscotch. That is a another story for a later date. It's not a real horse, stuffed animal that takes up half her bed.
I have a dog named Kasey
The dog is real, see blog Kasey Mable
And that's me.
That's my Sweet Eva B Peanut Pie!
So this is one of MANY family portraits. It happens to be her latest family pic. I don't know how she does it, but she captures amazing similarities.
Look at Joey (the one with the glasses) That looks like Joey, the hair, the expression on his face.
Here, from left to right it goes: Mommy, Daddy, Eva, Sophie and Joey.
I think it's very sweet that Eva is very close to Sophie in this picture.
No, Daddy is not always that fat.
And Yes- Mommy is always that skinny, right? go along with me here...
I'm not too sure what the "90" and the "less than boobs" (or is that a butt?)stuff is on Daddy's pants. I don't know if that's decoration? or what. I'll have to ask about that.
She goes through phases. One phase was that everyone had some very peculiar markings around the groin area. I should clarify, the boys had the markings. Everyone knows that girls always wear skirts.
"Um Eva?" I ask.
"Yes?" she replies, so proud of her work.
"What might that be? There, on the pants?" I point to said peculiar markings.
"Duh, Mom. They're zippers."
"Oh, of course!"
Get your mind out of the gutter, come on, she's seven, remember?
